equigetic at the CHIO Aachen 2022
Equigetic was represented for the first time at the World Equestrian Festival in 2022, and in a double capacity.
On the one hand, no less than 12 horses competed in dressage and jumping competitions, which were accompanied by Tina Schäfer physiotherapist. As an FEI – physiotherapist she has the official license to work on the international shows and championships.
On the other hand, equigetic presented itself with its own exhibition stand in the Aachen Village. Soers Sunday opened the exhibition and already there again showed the diversity of the equigetic pad.
The vaulters were thrilled with this innovation. The Swiss lunger tested the equigetic pad on the same day in the Nations Cup Vaulting and was then convinced: “This pad should be included in the vaulting rules to make it easier for the vaulting horses to work on the lunge. We have to tighten the lunge straps so tightly just for the safety of the vaulters, so this equigetic pad brings relaxation to every horse.”
Customers from the gallop racing sport were also on site and wanted to test the equigetic pad. There it is already known that horses are up to 7sec faster when they do not get pressure on the sternum through the girth.

Of course, the equigetic pad could also be admired live by the spectators not only on the warm-up arena, but also in the Grand Prix in the dressage stadium. Isabel Freese and also Isabell Werth showed impressive rides with Total Hope and Superb with the equigetic Fluffy Pad.
Gerrit Nieberg, Christian Ahlmann, Philip Rüping, Pius Schwitzer and show jumping legend John Whitaker were very satisfied with the equigetic Jump in the main stadium. Christian Ahlmann initially purchased the equigetic Jump girth with integrated channel system for his stallion Solid Gold. The stallion is very sensitive to pressure and is also ridden with a special snaffle. He felt very comfortable and relaxed right away and so the No.1 in the stable, Dominator Z , also got an equigetic Jump stud protection harness – with which he directly won the Global Champions Tour in Stockholm. So it was almost no surprise that in Aachen all of Christian Ahlmann’s horses entered the main stadium of the Soers with the equigetic Jump.
Kerry Finch- the groom of John Whitaker described herself as the biggest fan of the equigetic Jump at the CHIO. She claimed her horses would not only be more relaxed, but also jump better. We admit that we are very pleased with this statement but we can not promise that with a purchase! Having a legend like show jumper John Whitaker in the saddle certainly has more to do with it.
Gerrit Nieberg wins the Rolex Grand Prix with the equigetic girth.
However, who jumped the best this weekend is easy to say! Ben – the gelding of Gerrit Nieberg! The two surpassed themselves and all other pairs in the Rolex Grand Prix and won the 1.5 million prize money competition after a fantastic jump-off.
From us there were tears and cheers – an “equigetic horse” with equigetic girth – what an incredible moment and we are incredibly proud and grateful to be able to support these great riders and horses on their way and to make their sport as enjoyable as possible.
Now it’s off to the World Championships in Herning – Denmark – in August and then to the next Rolex Grand Prix stop in Spruce Meadows – Canada. We are looking forward to it!
